Macquarie Wrap to IOOF Group Datafeed Migration

Updated Sep 1, 2026byanshul.mattoo

Insignia Financial is closing the badged MBLW Wrap product (administered on Macquarie infrastructure) and migrating approximately 17,000 open accounts to the Expand platform. As a result, datafeed services will transition from the Macquarie (MBLW Wrap) feed to the IOOF Group (Expand) datafeed. Insignia has been communicating this transition directly to advisers over recent months.

When is this change occurring?
  • The migration will occur on 6 September 2026, and data will be available to advisers from 8 September 2026.
  •
What is changing?
  • Transfer-Outs: Macquarie will issue transfer-out transactions to close out all open holdings on the source platform.
  • Transfer-Ins: The IOOF Group datafeed will establish transfer-in holdings on the Expand platform.

What do advisers need to do?
  • Advisers already utilizing the IOOF Group datafeed and the MBLW Wrap datafeed will not need to do anything, they will receive any migrated data automatically.
  • Advisers utilizing the MBLW Wrap datafeed but not the IOOF Group datafeed will need to register for the IOOF Group datafeed and enter their adviser code and credentials in their Xplan site.

What is Iress doing?
  • For users previously receiving the MBLW Wrap datafeed, Iress will update the client identifiers within Xplan to align to the new identifiers in the IOOF Group datafeed, so they do not need to be manually re-mapped.  This will also automatically map the new account codes to the correct entities when data is received.
  • Details on entering your Adviser ID into Xplan and/or activating a datafeed can be found here: Registering for a datafeed in Xplan - Adviser Mapping, Activating / Disabling a datafeed
