Retrieving new ESI details in Adviser Online

  1. Log in to Adviser Online
  2. Select the user profile icon from the right-hand side of the top menu
  3. Select ESI details
  4. Click Generate new code
  5. If you’ve registered for Macquarie Authenticator:
    1. Open the Macquarie Authenticator push notification
    2. Review the details
    3. Click Approve
  6. If you’re not registered for Macquarie Authenticator:
    1. You’ll receive a one-time SMS secure code on your registered mobile number. Enter the code
  7. Click Submit
  8. Copy and paste the ESI authentication code and password displayed in Adviser Online into the appropriate fields on your financial planning software to authorise the ESI data feeds.

Your new ESI details are effective immediately but you’ll have to update any system with the new details before it can begin successfully requesting client data. This will also expire any previously generated ESI details.

ESI details expire one year from the date they are created. Once expired, any data sharing under these credentials will cease. We recommend updating your ESI details before they expire.

Note Once you have set up the ESI mapping in Xplan you will also need to set up each part of Macquarie for those datafeeds to flow into Xplan

such as Macquarie Cash
